Important notes:

  1. Bearing in mind the uncontrollable forces of nature, the program could be subject to changes at any time without warning.
  2.  Manu is a rainforest that has remained intact because of it hidden location. This means the program involves much traveling by bus and boat. However, it also means you are in a part of the Amazon rainforest that has no comparison, with an untouched flora and fauna!

The first day of our adventure into the Jungle of Manu, we will pick you up around 6:00 AM from your hotels in Cusco, using the service of our private transport, first stopping to visit the pre-Inca burial towers of Ninamarca. We then drive through the mountains, to get to the typical folkloric town of Paucartambo.
Here we take a short walk around the town before carrying on to Tres Cruces, theentrance to the Cultural Zone of Manu and the cloud forest. From there we continue to San Pedro where will walk for around one hour to observe the national bird of Peru, the Cock of the rock, monkeys and orchids. We arrive at our private Mirador Lodge in the evening; here we will spend the first night. Where we will arrive at approx. 5:00 p.m.

Very early, at 06:30 a.m., we will leave in the direction of Port Atalaya; on the way we will make a few stops to visit the small, garding of parrot and plantations of many varieties of jungle fruits, even the famous Coca plant. Later, we will continue our journey into the jungle by beginning the boating portion of the tour with a river excursion on the Madre de Dios River for 4.30 hr , one of the tributaries of the mighty Amazon River.
During our day we will have the chance to witness many types of colorful birds such as parrots, Oropendolas, vultures and others species. Hopefully, we will also have the opportunity to see some jungle mammals such as monkeys or the famous capybaras (jungle rodents that are as much as 2.5 ft long).
Towards the late afternoon, we will arrive to our next sleeping destination, Manu rainforest lodge, arriving approximately at 3:00 p.m. Here, there will be showers and services available.

At first light we head to the parrot clay lick to watch the dazzling spectacle of hundreds of parakeets, parrots and big macaws eating clay. In the afternoon we visit another one of Manu’s beautiful trails or visit a 42-meter high canopy tower.
Where we will see variety of animals and birds, a variety of medicinal plants and giant trees, timber trees. After this activity will be time to fish, swim in the crystal clear waters and return to our lodge and in the same night we will offer alligator’s observation activities and walks. If we’re lucky will catch alligators.

Also at night, we explore the forest by flashlight looking for insects, snakes and the uniquely nocturnal night-monkey or ‘Douricouli’. We spend the night in tree house ( mammals clay lick )
